CZECH TELEVISION’S NOTICE ON PERSONAL DATA PROCESSING

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)came into effect on 25 May 2018. Consequently, Czech Television has adopted the necessary measures to ensure compliance with GDPR obligations.
In particular, we process the following categories of personal data: identification details, contact details, data on the services provided, and data relating to communication between Czech Television and data subjects.
We process personal data especially for the following purposes: performance of contractual obligations, discharge of obligations laid down by law, performance of tasks in the public interest or for the purposes of protecting the legitimate interests of Czech Television.
Czech Television also processes personal data for other purposes (e.g. for marketing), but only on the basis of the data subject’s consent. The provision of consent and personal data for these other purposes is competely voluntary and the consent may be withdrawn at any time.
Czech Television also processes special categories of personal data concerning health (e.g. the result of an antigen/RT-PCR test for the presence of SARS-CoV-2, proof of vaccination against Covid-19 and proof of recovery from Covid-19) with a view to increasing safety and complying with obligations laid down by legal regulations on the grounds of public interest relating to public health.
We process personal data exclusively for the period necessary to achieve the relevant purpose or for the period laid down by the legal regulations, and always exclusively for the specified purpose. Personal data are never processed in a manner that does not comply with this purpose.
At all times during the processing, Czech Television allows data subjects to exercise their rights under GDPR and the related legislation. These rights include the following: right of access to personal data, right to rectification, right to erasure (right to be forgotten), right to restriction of processing, right to notification of rectification, erasure or restriction of processing to recipients, the right to portability and the right to object.
In its activities, Czech Television also sometimes uses the services of specialists who process personal data in their profession. These specialists process personal data exclusively in accordance with our instructions.
Czech Television ensures personal data protection especially by setting up internal processes, securing IT systems, staff training and performing regular audits.
